The Arizona Wood Splinter Group was founded circa 1995, as a sub-group of the statewide group Arizona Designer Craftsmen, which itself was founded in 1959 and in 2020 evolved to become known as Arizona Designer Craft & Art. The Arizona Wood Splinter Group disassociated from the larger group in about 2000, and has maintained itself autonomously in the years since.
